Rocket Language Spanish – Is It Good?

The Rocket Language Courses have sold over 300,000 products over the years and is one of the world’s biggest leaders in downloadable language software and programs. Rocket languages offer many programs, among them Rocket Spanish remains a best seller. Is a program any good just because a lot of people are buying it? Is it really possible to learn Spanish like a rocket as the Rocket Language website claims? Personally, I have tried other popular language learning software programs such as Fluenz and Rosetta Stone. Therefore, I can honestly say I have a basis for comparison when evaluating the Rocket Spanish program against other programs that claim to teach you Spanish quickly. Here is what I’ve found. As a whole, the Rocket Spanish course is very comprehensive. If your primarily interested in learning to speak Mexican or Latin American type of Spanish than you will not be disappointed. If you’re looking for a more formal Spanish course than this program probably isn’t for you. Even though the focus of the material is learning to speak conversational Spanish with friends and family, Rocket Spanish does explain when it is necessary to change the verbage to show respect when speaking with strangers. There is audio lessons that are interactive. It will have you talking in Spanish very quickly because that format is very conversational and has you repeating and responding to a conversation. The audio lessons offer many chances for repetition and practice. I like the fact that the lessons come on mp3 formats so you can load them to an ipod and take them anywhere. This feature isn’t available with all language learning programs. There is also written content to supplement the interactive lessons that help you learn how the language is written and helpful hints along the way that help you understand what really matters when speaking Spanish in the real world. I suppose the best part of the program in my opinion is how practical it is. The primarily focus is on teaching you how to speak with people in Spanish confidently. Lastly, there is a software component to the course that teaches verbs and helps you build your vocabulary quickly and easily by listening and viewing pictures. Every learner will benefit from all the different types of learning components there are in this course. My only complaint about Rocket Language Spanish is how it is laid out. The course is not very fluid in organization. For instance, the audio is broken down into small chunks and you either need to find the written portion that goes with the audio or just listen to the audio by itself. I suppose some people might see this program as being very flexible on how it is set up. The format is up to your choosing. Personally, I like something that seems to flow a little more. On the other hand, Rocket Spanish does provide many opportunities to learn Spanish at your own pace and choose the format that best fits your learning style. For many people this is a good thing. If cost is a factor than take a look at Rocket Spanish. You will save money on downloading the program versus buying the package cd’s. The option is available of course, but not necessary. The overall cost is less than other brands and in my opinion gives this course an edge on the competition. Not to mention you can start the program immediately versus waiting around for it to arrive in the mail. The content you get in Rocket Language Spanish is excellent and will not disappoint.
